Ok first of all... you have some really good people in there. Everyone I worked with was friendly and was interested in helping me. I felt welcome and comfortable. I'm generally very reserved and uncomfortable, but wasn't on that mat with your folks. Second, your instruction was great. I felt like I was picking things up thanks to your explicit demo and my helpful partner. Third, you looked really skillful... obviously I don't know the moves but the ease and grace you had at any speed was clear. I'm sorry I stealthed out at the end without a good-bye. I was without water and a bit dizzy. I may have overdone it for the first night off the couch in awhile :) So yes... please sign me up. What do I need to do? I'm hooked :-D I'm also wiped out... Not knowing anything meant I used my weight and strength all night long. I look forward to being relaxed on the mat. You have a great thing going and I would love to be part of it.
Dave A, the new schmuck
Thank you again for everything you have done for us. This by far was the best time spent in Maryland. Your club was the family that we missed moving down here. You, Brian, Johnny and Sam as well as the rest of Southside became more than just a place to learn Jiu Jitsu, it became a place for us to feel like we fit in and laugh and spend time with friends. Please relay this to the rest of the bunch, including Aaron. Rayna cried all the way home because she won't see him for awhile. I will let you go, but I want to assure you that our allegiance is with Southside no matter where we train. We will see you in September.
